Scarecrow Festival

On my way to the bike orienteering today I passed through Thornton Dale and spotted another exhibit in the Scarecrow Festival. This is outside The Hall a 5* retirement home. It won a rosette so it must have grabbed the judges attention too.

On the biking front we enjoyed our ride from Hackness up the escarpment to Broxa Forest where we collected most of the points on offer. We then looked at a huge climb into the second wood of Wykeham and decided to finish and enjoy a cuppa. Definitely the right decision after a busy weekend.

Only downside was washing the mud off the bike before sinking into the bath! We even managed to finish before the rain set in.
