Music Appreciation

"I want every girl in the world to pick up a guitar and start screaming" -Courtney Love

Ever since I was young, I had a great appreciation for music. All types of music. Even if I wasn't a fan of the musician, I can always appreciate someone famous for actually making themselves known, above the sea of faceless musicians trying to fulfill their dream. From a young age, I was taught the importance of music and how a simple song can either make your day 100,000,000 times better, or it will turn you to an emotional wreck. Even being 17, I can hear a song and instantly have a flashback to my youth.
I've always understood and seen music in an artistic way. I hear a song and instantly understand what the writer went through while writing the song (even if I have never been in the situation). I know this sounds cheesy, and I know I've said this speech a millions times, but I don't think anybody realizes the power behind a silly song. It's easy to listen to a song and feel euphoric. It's also easy to scream your face off into a pillow and feel the same feeling.
Why not do both?
