What sons are for......
Lots of family photos today and I was also tempted to blip those baby swallows that are sitting on a tree near the dock - I think the parents still come to feed them! Nik and I had a great row around Sphinx island in perfect weather (actually too hot -looking forward to clouds.), and then there were 4 hilarious ALS ice bucket challenges met - the 3 older kids had been challenged so had to record their dunkings for instagram, (much fussing and filming with the iPhones) and of course then Fiona had to do it too. Ice in the cold sea water on the beach. Hilarious. But I think the blip to remember this day has to be H (in his coolie sunhat) and our 2 sons helping to drag our grey rowing float from the dock to the beach at the end of the bay where it will stay til next May. Kind of an end of summer ritual. LAST YEAR, (with explanation) Our neighbor with the boathouse helps pull it up with his generator powered winch but then it ssually takes at least 4 strong people to move the sections over but I had to take the pictures (!) Not sure they have been here together to do this before --Not sure it will happen again! :-) But they were a great help! Nik and his Dad leave in the morning and Ava in the evening tomorrow...we had s'mores on the deck tonight with the patio fire. Gotta go to sleep now....
