Flying the Flag?
On my way home for lunch, I got stopped at the red light where the council are resurfacing the A85 just before Methven. This stretch of road is called Castle Corners, on account of there being corners. And there is a castle.
Luckily, I was stopped right where I had an excellent view of Methven Castle, which was pivotal 600 years ago during the Battle of Methven, between the English and Scottish armies. (The battle itself was fought throughout where the village now stands, and in the Den which featured in an earlier blip of mine).
I would have laid a pound to a penny that the present owners were No voters, but I think, on close examination, that is a Yes Saltire flying above the ramparts!
You never know do you?
It's now absolutely pouring with rain, and I'm sure I hear thunder in the distance. No way I'm going back out there until it stops. Hope I get stuck at the same spot on the way back, so I can have a closer look at the flag via my wee zoom lens.
