Old Faithful

We were awoken about 5:45am this morning by the rain not just pelting the outside of the tent but oh no it was dripping on my feet and my face. We performed an emergency evacuation and got everything into the car. We decided to drive to Norris Basin I was not a happy bunny but after a bit of a cry I manned up and we went for a wander around the area. This was where we got absolutely drenched. At this point we reminded ourselves that this was supposed to be our honeymoon and not an endurance test and we resigned to defeat and headed back to pick up the tent which was about an inch deep in water by the time we got back to the camp site. We packed it into the car and headed out of the park. Stopping at the Grand Prismatic Spring and also Old Faithful. We were wowed by the geyser... We then drove a long time towards Jackson (so had everyone else). We were beginning to think we were not going to find a bed for the night when we discovered the best log cabin with a BATH and a BBQ. Oh it was bliss. The honeymoon can now continue.
