Down by the river

So I've been dog sitting this week for Ralph the Springer Spaniel. It's been wet all week, and the long walks in the rain have done nothing but re affirm my decision not to get a dog. The kids would love one, but it's too much of a commitment for me when life is so busy right now.

Today the sun came out, and it felt like summer once more, so we headed off for a river walk with Ralph. He absolutely loves the water. He looks a bit sad in this photo, but he's simply looking up to see if we are ready to walk on. He's a very obedient dog and has been very easy to walk in all fairness.

Now I just have to keep wading through the daily requests of "Can we have a dog please?"......and not hesitate with my answer. I like dogs, but one that I can borrow is my favourite right now.
