A slightly different Friday..
It was a strange kind of day and I got up reasonably early to make the most of another lieu day to lengthen the weekend.
I did a few boring things around the house and had a late breakfast while watching an invasion of tits in the garden. I didn't even attempt to interrupt my cheese and onion omelette to take a picture as there must have been at least forty little birds out there! I must check that the feeding station is fixed in the ground firmly. I'm sure there must be a maximum weight limit on these things. I was even more concerned when Eric, a couple of starlings and two magpies decided to join the frenzy.
I think I just have to accept that now I have magpie residents too. I took a few pictures and this was my favourite, strangely.
Go large...
I caught the bus into Brum afterwards for a change as I hadn't been in the daytime for ages. The last time I was there it was to see Burt Bacharach but that was in the evening. I must say, Birmingham looks much better at night. This afternoon, I got off the bus, wandered round the corner, took grey pictures at St Martin's church and smiled at some daft people struggling to seat their kiddies on top of the Bull by the Bull Ring and then I fled back to the bus stop where a 60 was already waiting. I gratefully ran upstairs and sat at the front. A guy sat behind me clearly very drunk, belching, farting and swearing at the top of his voice for half of my journey back. He fell down the stairs at the Swan at Yardley and two of the downstairs passengers 'helped' him off the bus.
I'm just relieved he didn't throw up over me when he was sat behind me!
I was in town a grand total of 23 minutes which was 21 minutes too long I reckon.
Track? I stumbled across this one this afternoon. It reminds me very much of their most famous one 'Here Comes The Night'. This one from 'Them' was written by Van Morrison who left the band after this album - Could You Would You
