In the interest of balanced reporting today's Blip is of the flour mill behind the meadow....

Once upon a time a friend sent me a photograph of a beautiful beach. Inspired by this vision of coastal idyll I travelled hundreds of miles to visit it in person only to discover on arrival that it was next to a military air base.

Jets took off and landed every ten minutes and screamed overhead every minute of the day. Far from being a relaxing seaside break my nerves were in tatters by the time I left.

In contrast the mill produces a background hum that fades into the distance as we walk along the shore much the same as our troubles and cares.

And the flour makes lovely bread.
