Lounge Room

Craig and Tia came back this morning and Shell came over without her kids so we got stuck into the cleaning! I had started on the lounge room by the time they got here and I thought it would be a quick job! It actually took most of the day since we moved every single piece of furniture to vacuum under it and then decided to change it all around, as well as wash all of the glassware that was in the sideboard!

We also cleaned up the front bedroom, all the stuff on the back and front verandas and I mowed all the lawn!

We said a few times throughout the day that there was no way that Mum would have let us do what we were doing if she was still here! The house and cooking were her thing and we weren't allowed to do anything to help. It was like we were insulting her if we wanted to clean or tidy anything! Dad didn't mind though! We threw out heaps of stuff that we didn't need or that Dad would never use.

Nik decided that she was missing out on all the fun so she came down again with Julian and then my friends, Chris and Leona, came down after work for a few hours! We had Chinese takeaway and pizza for tea and sat around chatting in front of the open fire!
