School countdown has started in earnest. She has been counting days for longer than she does for Christmas but now its only a week away, she is insanely excited. Her woven name tags arrived today, pretty pink. It's very strange seeing her name written ready to put in her uniform.

Today she went to a fantastic childrens cookery course that the local supermarket had organised. It was brilliant! She made savoury American pancakes, fresh bread, fruit kebabs, studied herbs and flavours and hd a fabulous time. It was a really great opportunity! She ate her weight in fruit too.

Day 2 of swimming. She seemed a bit tired during this lesson. It was not her best swim. We went out afterwards and she ate a whole load more, had a big drink, charged around, then returned to the pool for her normal lesson session and really knuckled down. She did some of the best breastroke I have seen her do in a while.

When we got home from swimming, Grandad and Granny were waiting for Tuesday-on-Wednesday, because the bank holiday. Katie was so pleased to share bread and pancakes with them. Mummy made blackberry crumble with our gatherings from Sunday
