Victorian Theology

We spotted this tombstone by the door of the church in Allendale Town.

These poor folk had 10 children die in infancy. That's bad luck even given Victorian mortality rates.

Interesting to see Victorian theology at play: "they died for Adam sinned, they live for Jesus died".

I suspect the local water probably had a lot to do with it.
