Fight! Fight! Fight!

The most memorable moment of the fourth (and final day) of safari was a moment that came quite out of the blue. We rolled up next to a watering hole and saw two giraffe's standing next to each other. 'Awww, they are in love' we all said. 'Oh no, they aren't...' replied Kim.

These giraffe were fighting, and it was some spectacle. They stood side to side and then swung there necks at each other, the thuds being audible across the lake. It was incredible to watch these graceful creatures show their aggressive side. We watched for 10 minutes or so with no winner and so we left with Kim telling us that the fight would end when one went to walk away and the other mounted them. Charming.

Safari was an incredible experience and one that I already want to do again. We saw *deep breath* giraffe, rhino, buffalo, elephant, hippo, jackal, lion, crocodile, zebra, impala, kudu, duiker, warthog, monkey, mongoose, tree squirrel, bushbuck, nyala, reedback, aardvark, african wild cat, genet, civet and many many awesome birds. The whole experience was amazing, and Kapama Game Reserve River Lodge was a place I hope to go back to one day.
