Hoorah!

I'm always a bit sad when we get inundated with flocks of noisy and greedy starlings because I know the garden great spotted woodpeckers will disappear.

The starlings are SO greedy and demolish all the food I put out for the woodpecker - so I was delighted today to see this juvenile woodpecker on our old apple tree :)
