Insignia. GX1, Leitz Elmarit 90mm, Bellows II.

I have a little rosewood chest containing a collection of family memorabilia. Previously I have Blipped my late father's R.A.M.C. insigne here which emerged from the chest for the occasion. Today's Blip is of the insigne for the South African Tank Corps which only existed with that particular name from 1940-43, according to Wiki. I believe that it was a gift to my late mom from a close friend who had served with the Corps in the East African Campaign during 1940 and '41. Interesting how history comes to one's doorstep...
