A cheeky cuckoo greets me

Sitting in the every year narrower seats of my AA jet flying south I though that once in BA I would drop the bags and go out and shoot (photographically that is) the first bird I saw. Things didn't quite turn out like that, as I'm not prepared to parade several grand's worth of photographic equipment through the streets of downtown Buenos Aires (nor the suburbs either) so I didn't actually set up my camera until inside the reserva on the Costanera Sur. Anyway, the first bird I saw was in fact this Guira Cuckoo (Guira guira), a cheeky little bird, known locally as the pirincho and very piola, like many Argentines I know.
