Apple Pie!

This morning we completed the big task of cleaning out and sorting through the kitchen cupboards. There was a whole cupboard that no-one had a clue what was in there and everything was filthy! We threw a whole heap of things out that were either so old or Dad would never use them. I then scrubbed the shelves and we washed what was to go back in!

Nana, Aunty Kay and Uncle Linton came over for a BBQ lunch as well as Craig, Tia, Nik, Jules, Shell, Ella, Ryan, Dad and me! It was a beautiful day and we had a lovely time.

Craig, Tia, nik and Jules went back to Melbourne in the afternoon and Shell went home to milk. I tidied up a bit more stuff then dad and I had a little bit of tea then apple pie and ice cream for dessert!

We have all worked so hard this past week and a half to get the house tidied up and ready for dad to live in it alone. We wanted to make it as easy as we can for him. He has been doing everything himself for the past few months since Mum got sick and really weak so couldn't do anything. It will be different for him though, especially having no one to talk to and no one to come home to.

My biggest fear is that he will just go to pub every night and drink too much. We have had a chat though and he knows we all love him and want him to get himself better, so that means looking after himself so he can get through his heart surgery when that happens.
