Pelicans!

This morning we went fishing down at Diamond Head. Craig came with Harry and Teddy and another Craig came with his son Brent! The kids fished for about 5 minutes then when no one was catching anything they for bored of that and went and played cricket up in the grass!

Kaz, Stu, Craig, Craig and I continued to gush for another half an hour but the fish kept taking our bait without getting hooked so we stopped too!

At one stage Joti was walking towards a group of four pelicans that were sitting on the edge of the water. She was very excited and kept calling them ducks. Kaz was with her and one pelican must have thought she was getting a bit too close so it went to bite her! Kaz quickly got her away while the rest if us were laughing!

The boys thought it was funny so they all went down to the water and were trying to get the pelicans to try and get them, each one trying to be a bit braver than the one before! Eventually one of the pelicans snapped at them so they all ran away!!

We went home and got ready for Spence's soccer break up at the park by the beach. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. The kids played in the park and had a swim!

We came home and then went out for tea to the Tavern with Stu and Sue and met Stu's brother and his wife there.
