Lister Drive Library, Tuebrook, Liverpool

Another of Liverpool's libraries designed by Thomas Shelmerdine and funded by Andrew Carnegie. The inscription above the doorway reads "The Andrew Carnegie Library". Opened in 1905 it was closed in 2006.

It has recently been announced that a local charity, Lister Steps, has secured Heritage Lottery funding to renew and restore this building to open it as a childcare centre. They hope that this will happen in 2017.
