Kensington Library, Liverpool
"A library outranks any one other thing a community can do to benefit its people. It is a never failing spring in the desert." Andrew Carnegie.
Kensington library is another of the magnificent Grade 11 listed library buildings in Liverpool that were designed by Thomas Shelmerdine and funded by Andrew Carnegie. It was opened in 1890 and is another of our Carnegie Halls that is now threatened with closure, 11/11.
