minty fresh

we made a day of visiting Mintfest, a festival of performing arts on the streets and in the parks of Kendal. (To those not familiar with Kendal, it gives it name to a mint flavoured candy called Kendal Mint Cake, rumoured to have been the energy boost tweed-clad mountaineers favoured back in the day - so there's the minty reference). We met with Auntie A and together we watched a wacky 'german' scientist and his experiments with hydrogen, acetic acid and various other concoctions. Em took a place in an orchestra of little people and we tapped our feet to the samba beats of a nearby band. We stayed longer than planned, pasta dinner and into Abbot Hall Park to watch the evenings acrobatic dance highlights. Unusually for Kendal it was dry so these guys brought their own rain.
