Does this hardware store know something I don't?

When I last checked the weatherforecast for Edinburgh there was no snow forecast. However, people seem to have snapped up these shovels like nobody's business, within half an hour of walking past the - already limited - stock of 7 had diminished to four!

I tried to put a collage of the before and after shovels on blip yesterday but the computer was overwhelmed by me trying to create a collage and I had to give up. Today (this is backblipped) I have therefore decided not to do anything to my blips but to publish them as they were taken.
