'Large Beetles'......??????

No ........they're not....altho' in the 'old'days' when the popular way to carry them down to the beach to launch them into the sea.......the men who were going to row them carried them by holding them over their heads and running along the sands with them.....that's exactly what they were likened to.......giant Beetles....
This is the little beach at Spiddal the village which is quite close to where we are staying....we walked in the bracing sea-air this afternoon and talked to the fishermen and watched the boats both coming in and preparing to go out fishing......!
It was wonderful.........not great weather as you can see from the shot.....dull with no sunshine but not a bit cold.....we don't mind.....
I don't know when we have been so relaxed........lovely hotel( they upgraded us to a Superior Room) lovely overlooking the sea and the Aran Islands....
great food......a nice pint and good craic......
what more could we want????
Going to do a little tour tomorrow....to a place called Kylemore Abbey....!!

My rash is very bad....dreadful flare up of it....but I brought the Bread Soda with me......!
