'Kylemore Abbey'.............!

Yes this is the iconic picture of the Abbey as you see it first across the lake as you enter the main gate......
Oh...it is such a beautiful place....we spent hours there .......walking around it's gorgeous renovated walled Victorian Garden......saying some prayers in impressively beautifully restored Gothic Church which the nuns now use on a daily basis...
and looking through some of the rooms that are now just as they would have been when the house was built....it has a beautiful romantic story attached to the building of it.....
But for many years since the French Benedictine Order of nuns came to live there it was a boarding school for girls........and that closed in the year 2000.....
Now the small number of nuns that remain make beautiful jams, chutneys and chocolate and sweets......of course some of which I brought home!!!

Also after all the walking no pain in the legs...(a bit tired alright)...
so this holidaying and relaxation may have to become a regular occurrence!!!haha
