Flights!
We have them!!
Finally deals went up today with Air NZ to Australia on the dates we were planning to go so i snapped them up!! And we couldn't have done it without everyone's generosity- so from the bottom of my heart thankyou! And happy spring vibes to you all.
Its really exciting that we actually have our tickets. We immediately bought travel insurance so if anything changes flight wise, then we are covered. Luckily as well for us because Andre and kanye have health insurance with southern cross we got travel insurance cheaper and it covers kanyes epilepsy as a pre existing condition!
I quadruple checked everything before i got the flights to make sure i hadn't made a mistake with the baggage part, that everything was the same going there and coming back.
First of September, first day of spring and already things are fantastic- i said to Andre from September on its going to be good because there's more warmth and sunlight along with lots of good stuff happening in the family, my sister in law getting married, my brother and sister in law along with my 3 nephews moving back to nz from Japan, my parents in laws house getting rebuilt. You just feel better knowing its spring!
So our next step is passports- obviously, ive done all the forms and got mine, Andres and Harpers photos done, i just need to get kanyes and mars then get it all signed and sealed. I have to take kanye and his form to a JP for them to sign the statutory declaration that hes intellectually disabled but that wont be difficult.
I want to take my time and do things right with the passports because i'd hate to have to do it all again for something minor i might have missed.

This morning i decided to start the morning with the yoga sun salutation. Ive done it a few times before so i didn't need too much direction but it was great to get up, wash my face and do some stretches before the whirlwinds got up and started demanding toast.
I fell off the healthy eating wagon a bit last week so this week i created a daily meal plan so i know what i'm having at each meal and snack time- takes a lot of the thinking about it away.
So every meal/snack i have protein, carb in the form of fruit or veg or occasionally rice/pasta etc, and a good fat so lsa(linseed , sunflower and almond) mix or avocado or nuts. The idea is my body has to burn the protein first rather than sugar and carbs thus helping lose weight.I'm also drinking a lot of water and having herbals teas. I've cut out regular tea but have kept coffee in as i enjoy it.
Later in the morning, after the school run which was again successful, when Harper was asleep- i did my pilates. I really enjoy it and its great because its such a short period of exercise but wow you can really feel it working.
I got everything done i needed to in the house today.
When i picked up Mar though it didn't go to plan- there was a reliever and the class was elsewhere in the school who knows where, but they didn't return to class until 3.04.
I said to the reliever that i have to get mar early to be back in time for my other son, then we left and we sprinted home- my legs were killing me from pilates earlier but i kept going. The taxi driver texted as i was almost home and i sent her a text but i accidentally sent it to my mother in law. When i arrived the driver had gone up the drive to see if i was home that made me panicky- if i hadn't got there when i did she would have no doubt had to leave.
When we all piled inside i was a sweaty, breathless mess. The kids of course weren't aware and i got demands for food and drink.
Anyways the rest of the night went great- i caught my breath finally and when Andre got home he put some Michael Jackson on and danced around with the kids for what seemed to be half an hour while i cooked dinner. I really enjoy Andre being on site in town it means hes always home at around 515, the kids love the time they get with him when he walks in.
But hey other than the taxi hiccup what a great first day of the month and season.
