Walnuts

When we moved here in 1996 we were thrilled to discover that we had a big walnut tree in the garden. We imagined the baskets of delicious walnuts we would enjoy. But that was not to be. There are a number of different types of walnut trees...some give wonderful walnuts, others don't. Our tree feeds the squirrels. We have tried picking the walnuts early, then later, drying them, pickling them but they are just not very nice. But it is a beautiful tree and we love it.

Jack has gone to the cinema on his own. I didn't fancy the film. I am looking forward to a telephone chat with my sister, Civila!
