One more sleep

Today has been about tomorrow. Entirely. Today has for Katie been a period of time she wanted to pass through so that tomorrow will come. For mummy it was a day I would rather have liked to put on hold. Maybe for another two or three years perhaps?! Today is the last day before School. We finished making her school trousers this morning. We bought a card and flowers to go with the gift we have for her preschool keyworker. And we took Katie in to say goodbye, give the gifts and give her one last cuddle. Granny and grandad came for an early tea and quick games of pairs. Katie lined all her uniform up with me, with very very excited squeals. All day long she has said "it's one more sleep. Tomorrow I go to school. One more sleep".

Lesley's words to her "go show them how clever and fun you are and how happy you are. Don't be shy, you will have a wonderful time".

Sleep well, BabyGirl. Tomorrow life changes, tomorrow it is a whole new chapter. I have complete faith in you that you will rise to every challenge this big step in life brings. I believe you will grow, learn, delight in what's ahead. But boy do I have butterflies and oh I sure will miss being such a part of the journey. I will always always be there to come back to and I will always delight in hearing what you've done. Sleep tight, my nearly school girl xxxxxxxxx
