These are older than me. They came from my parents' home and I remember them from my earliest days.
Which would you choose to be?
I think my choice would be to speak no evil.
Doing no evil is not on offer. I guess it would have been difficult to represent in this form.
How brass monkeys became associated with the rather rude expression about "cold enough to......!" I am not sure.
