the lamp shade

this is the shade of the lamp i read under. i have always assumed the aluminum rivets should face the wall, keeping the front of the shade uncluttered. but they are beautiful in themselves. today i gave the shade a quarter turn, took my blip photo and walked away. i did not reposition the shade. it felt good to defy expectations today, even if it was just with a lamp shade. smile.
