a return

stair

i have taken quite a few blips on the shore lately. it's hard to take an ugly shot there. besides, the time spent finding one is almost always quiet and pleasant.

today i needed to shake it up. (seems to be a theme lately). i needed something urban. something non-organic. something gritty i could sink my teeth into. i went to our local mill town. there i found a collection of liquid gas storage tanks, corralled by overgrown barbed wire. far from the picturesque coastline, i was in the right place. there was a plethora of dark and heavy industrial material to photograph. instead i came home with this light and delicate stair.

i'll have to find gritty another day.
