An Evening at St Clair

When the season draws to a close as summer ends lawn bowlers search for challenge which can be found in open competition at various bowling greens . This is a snatched photograph of flowers and bowlers at St Clair Bowling Club where the games continue for a week, under floodlight as darkness falls, until finals night on Friday night when the climax is reached and winners gain monetary prizes. It's not Wimbledon and there are no strawberries and cream but hot Scotch pies are wonderful on a chilly evening.
