Pelicans

A lovely day out here on the coast with early walk out a jetty that protects the mouth of the Columbia river on the north and on the south is another. Until the jetty a huge sand bar caused many ship wrecks. This point of land is where Lewis and Clark seeded the cross country adventure in the early 1800's? having reached the Pacific Ocean.

A long walk on the beach and then another up a headland to a lighthouse. God I love to be by the side of the great sea.
