On reflection
Car launch events take us motoring writers to some unusual places. Last night's dinner with Volkswagen was in a garden centre. Not just any old garden centre, but the one where they grow all the exotic plants for Zurich Zoo. So we dined in the midst of what looked like a tropical rain forest. I would have blipped it for today, but we left long before midnight to return to the hotel.
This morning we departed straight after breakfast for the return trip to the airport and the flight home. This dramatic piece of art was outside one of the hotel entrances, and I liked the way it reflected in the dark windows of the VW shuttle buses.
Home to a very busy afternoon and evening. Copy to write, photos to send and things to sort, before I'm off to meet up with journo chums from the Guild of Motoring Writers for our charity effort at the big autumn Autojumble in the grounds of the National Motor Museum.
