Baby quilt

I went to the quilt club this evening and the whole evening was taken up with making detailed plans for the exhibition the club is to hold at the end of October. I put my name down for several different tasks. Some people had brought the things they were going to exhibit and I was fascinated by this baby floor quilt. It was made with squares of felt which have been appliqued with motifs before being fringed and sewn together. It is very thick and cosy for a baby to lie on. The granddaughter for whom it was made is now four years old but apparently she still loves it. Her quilting grandmother makes her a new quilt every year!
