Early doors

At 1am this morning, I was in bed reading and the bedroom door opened and in came my lovely man, with a present and envelope outstretched towards me.
"Happy Valentines my love" he beamed " cos it is Valentines Day now!"
If it wasn't for the fact that I had nothing ready for him I might have let him go on believing that today was indeed the 14th.
Seeing his crestfallen look when he realized made it all the more special.
Inside the present was this little character who I love on cards which I bought quite a few of for different people. I love him cos he is knitted and yet has such a great look on his woolly face. My man is very observant and when he saw a 3 dimensional version knew I would love it.
Next year we might celebrate on 13th again. The date is just a date after all.
