When in Rome...

... drink wine!

We checked into the Hotel Lirico at 6pm and by 6:15 we were out and about. We walked several miles, took the first of many photos, saw a couple of fountains and part of the Aurelian Wall, then we went to the Ristorante Strega where we ate a late and delicious meal (goat's cheese ravioli followed by tiramasu, washed down with rose wine, eaten outside). What a great start to our Roman holiday!
