'Book Bench Trail'

We have been to London today ....with the intention of seeing how many book benches we could photograph.

'Books about Town' started on the 2nd July and finishes on the 15th September. 50 unique BookBench sculptures, designed by local artists and famous names to celebrate London's literary heritage and reading for enjoyment.

There are four trails..City, Riverside, Bloomsbury and Greenwich......we managed to do the first three, but didn't get to Greenwich. We have walked miles all day..and not knowing London terribly well has been a bit of a hindrance...but we have managed to take shots of 36 benches.

Now the problem of which one to choose.

In the collage from the top left. is Dr Seuss, top right..The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, bottom left...War Horse..then Peter Pan bottom right. The backs of the benches are also painted so there was plenty to photograph..

A long day......but very challenging. We met so many people on the trails..and kept bumping into them again and again. Some had managed to see all 50!
