Beautiful day
The weather has taken a turn for the better and enticed me outside into the sun and under blue skies today. I practised a fair few macro shots and this is my favourite today (sooc) of my silverbirch tree.
I was awake quite early and thought I was doing the prayers in church but found out it was next week! (I can tell that while I think I'm getting more sorted and normal, I am actually still a little off kilter with things like that.) Church was uplifting and a few people offered their condolences without it being too suffocating, which was nice.
I then popped into Stony, really more of an excuse to get out of the house for an hour, and picked up a Costa. L was baking a banana loaf and then offered to make Sunday lunch so I got on with yet more ironing in front of the recorded Saints match, changed my bed, wrote a few birthday cards and then got out into the beautiful sunshine to take photos.
Earlier, my brother's tenant contacted me to say their boiler is on the blink and I had a row with the NHBC type people on the phone who say the policy we inherited from the previous owners had been cancelled. Rubbish. I had to put the phone down in the end as I was about to explode. Again, I think that there is some anger quite close to the surface at the moment and I have to be careful not to take it out unfairly on unsuspecting strangers!
I'm hoping for an outdoor swim later today given the weather is so good....
