Ritual Smash

I was given a Terrimundi pot on my birthday in 2008 and, somewhat sporadically, I have been filling it with £1 and £2 coins. It was getting ridiculously heavy, so I decided today was the day to smash it and count the treasure. Being a somewhat competive family, we all had a guess beforehand as to how much would be inside.

Katie stood on a garden chair and dropped it onto the patio as you can see. Then began the count - Katie's guess was closest - a grand total of £422 (plus 50 cents!!! Not a bad haul at all.
There was a wee card inside saying I had intended spending it on a wee holiday with two of my friends - that was a wee trip to New York which never came about - so I guess this will help fund my few days in Nice later this month. Nice indeed!!
