Tristan the Soccer Man

We did not get to attend Tristan's soccer game this morning but our daughter and son-in-law did and sent us this photo. Then later they brought Tristan home with them so they could drive him to meet-up with his mommy late this afternoon.

Tristan's dad, Nick, and Tristan's mom, Desiree (our granddaughter) live about 100 miles from each other. Nick has custody of Tristan during the week. Desiree gets to have Tristan 3 weekends a month and most of the summer.

Currently, Nick has Tristan enrolled in soccer, so that messes-up the weekends for Desiree. As well, Desiree started cosmetology school this past year and recently switched from night classes (she quit work), and began day classes so she can graduate earlier. So I think she is even doing school on Saturdays. Desiree lives in San Diego but will probably be moving to the Midwest this coming April. She is planning to get married to Justin in February and he will be transferred with the U.S. Navy to somewhere in the Midwest. We are not sure how the sharing of Tristan with happen then, and of course we are concerned.

But we are glad to see him whenever we have the opportunity and every summer we are thrilled to spend a week of time with him at Family Camp on Catalina Island.

Life really can be a mess, but we just keep looking for the good.
