Simple day; picked up the crew around 8, although sadly missing S :-( .

Drove along quiet sunny roads to Rowardennan and wandered up Ben Lomond. 10 Jan 03 was my last ascent here - a snowy Wednesday afternoon on the way to band practice at the Port.

So, dappled sunshine marked our wander up through the slightly autumnal hues; bracken mostly starting to turn, but little hints here and there betraying the stealthy onset of autumn.

Busy busy busy, but we steadily wandered up as the gloom gathered towards the summit.

Courgette and stilton soup along with some peanut butter and choc cake for lunch and then a slow meander down; quiet drive home.

Me and Nic spoke a lot of S, Barry opted for independence debate at every gap in the conversation...!

Home around 5, but stopped for a half hour meet / chat in the Meadows; she looked happier and better, but said she still feels like crap. Made some tentative plans for the week in the warm sunshine.

And then a quiet evening at home doing domestic stuff. And cycling highlights, obv....
