Last call

The clouds were scudding over the moon as I took Russet for her last outing before bedtime! It was warm, after a lovely day.
We had lots of family phonecalls in the afternoon and I was due to make two plates of smoked salmon blinis for the refreshments after our church's Patronal Festival at 5 pm.
You've never seen such a production line as my husband and I made 60 blinis in just over ten minutes!!
The service was based on the old Evensong, which took me back! And was enhanced by the beautiful wedding flowers from yesterday.
Sandwiches, savouries and bucks fizz were served afterwards - and all the blinis have gone!
