Stary Rinok by moonlight

Our long wedding weekend in Poznan is drawing to a close. Tomorrow will be a day of airports and flights.

Today the thundery rain held off so we went to Cathedral island, visited an old quarter and went for a ride on a small steam train through woodland by a lake. For lunch we had goulash soup served in a hollowed out loaf of bread. Delicious.

At the end of the day we returned to Stary Rinock (Old Market) for a coffee, refreshments then a meal. Not as packed as on Friday night but still busy with couples and families with young children strolling in the evening sunshine. As night fell a newly married couple came to be photographed by one of the fountains.

Then the moon came out adding to the scene. It's been a brief visit to Poland but one we've enjoyed very much.
