at home with an Ivysaurus

I love this face she's been making recently.

Rhyme time this morning, we were on time for a change! We chatted to the doctor who bandaged Ivy's thumb when it got cut in a nail cutting incident, who know has a gloriously chunky 4 month old girl. She was making those noises young babies make to say ' why are you sitting down' so since ivy was off somewhere and I was standing anyway, I took her for a bit. Didn't quite expect her to be heavier than ivy, also had to remind myself to support the head. After some brief adventures exploring the librarians office and getting stuck in a bookcase and waking about outside in her socks, ivy came to chat to the baby and was copying her sticking her tongue out.

After another terrible night with ivy not sleeping well, Euan suggested we go swimming to tire us out. Ivy showed off her floating skills (and how much she loves showers) to Euan and did some ' surfing' on a float. She also got to go down the slie into the water for the first time ever. 'GEN!'

She filed her nappy prior to swimming (the third today) and it turned out she'd been eating thread. Good to know it comes out at least, although Euan did look like he was unraveling her from the bottom up.

At Dinner, ivy insisted on using a Big metal spoon to feed herself and would accept no parental intervention.
