To be honest, I'm getting fed up with all the hype and the money wasted on quality advertising. The colourful poster-sized document that dropped through our letterbox today is a case in point. The finance could have been donated to a medical research charity for example, rather than end up in the bin.

On a lighter note, I had to laugh at some of Kevin Bridges' observations. If "Yes" win, we can look forward to
- our very own electrical adapters with six prongs instead of three, just because.
- control our own timezone. Put the clocks forward eight hours on Friday morning and put them back eight hours on Sunday night.
- our new currency : the smackeroony.
- "Scottish" - it's not an accent, it's a language.
