Hanging around

It was a beautiful sunny September day today, so I spent most of the day outside - not gardening, but reading a 'Wallender' novel, finally opening and making a start on my OU Physics course and teaching my son German grammar.
The birds didn't seem to mind me being about and I caught sight of a few of them using this wee hanging basket as a queueing up spot for the feeders.
