Bookbug

While in Glasgow today, I popped into Princes Square for a coffee. I could hear singing coming from the lower level. Looking over the balcony I spotted mothers and young babies taking part in a Bookbug songs and rhymes session, led by two lively ladies.
I must confess that I hadn't heard of Bookbug. I have now learned it is run by the Scottish Book Trust. They give children four free packs of books from birth to primary 1. They also run sessions of stories , songs and rhymes in local libraries. Brilliant idea!
