Inland Beach

It's been another lovely warm sunny day so we made the most of it with a trip to the beach. It isn't at the seaside though but rather an inland beach at the north shore of a huge lake.

We met nana and pops there as per our usual Wednesday exploits. We had a potter around the shop and visitors centre before hitting the beach. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to paddle due to some serious algae but we had fun playing in the sand. Castles were made and knocked down and there was lots of running around. A enjoyed watching the sand fall through my fingers and the feel of it as it sprinkled on his toes.

We had a picnic then went on a nature trail. Pops brought his binoculars and showed P how to use them. After all the walking and playing in the sunshine we built up quite an appetite for ice creams before heading home.
