Pukeko chicks - at last.
Although this early morning shot doesn't best display the vivid colours of the pukeko, I chose it because the chicks are showing the very typical stance of this bird.
These two are a little older - the newer ones are like little puffballs running around and keep getting obscured by clumps of grass. I was worried that all my chick pics seemed a bit blurry, until I realised it was because of their fluffy down, and their beaks and everything else were quite sharp.
I have been trying to get these chicks for ages and today got a camera full, but most fairly distant.
