Feels like summer

The weather was so beautiful today. It was warm enough to let Harper run around in a singlet suit with his hat on. He enjoyed it so much!

So today after much wishing from the universe.

Our card arrived so was able to get groceries and the boys new shoes and sandals.

A letter came from the lotteries commission about the car asking for more information but apparently there is very high demand so not all applications can be met. So at least they're acknowledging our application and will continue to. That's all we can ask for!

We got an email from our landlord. He has said he's selling the other flat first then will sell this one. So we have until February. He said he can sell it tenanted but can't guarantee that an investor will buy it. There's a 6 week handover from the sale.

I felt instantly detached from the flat. My heart sunk.

I had such a great afternoon too. I walked with the boys into town leaving andre a note saying we'd meet him in town for subway dinner. I was happy, the weather was warm, i wanted to treat the boys.

When I met up with andre and he told me the news i just felt the happiness drain out of me.

Anyway i figured once we got home I'd have another look at rentals online. I found one. We fell in love with it. It has everything we want.

It's right around the corner from my in laws house that's being built. They are asking for long term lease. It has a dishwasher and a bath. It's closer to school than where we are now. It has a lawn instead of courtyard. 2 bedroom so not more rooms but the lounge extends out onto a deck and looks to be north facing. It's a little more than we pay now but not out of our affordability criteria.

It's ready in 3 weeks so Andre is going to call Monday to view it and possibly sign the forms. Conveniently we only need to give our landlord 3 weeks notice plus the time we'd move falls right in the holidays which I think will be better for Marley. And better to move now than post Christmas.

I feel ready to move on now I've seen this place. As much as I have loved this place I'm ok now to leave it. We've been through a lot here so it'll never be forgotten. So please wish us luck that we can get this place! !

Mar didn't have the best day he was in tears when I picked him up. His best friend was away and he was a bit lost without him. He got in trouble for trying to pull leaves off a plant then he went with his class to the dental nurse. He was frightened his teacher said but they found a small hole in between two of his back teeth. Most likely from food getting stuck, the rest of his teeth are beautiful but he'll need a seal/filling in the wee hole. I think they use a fissure seal so I'm taking him next week to get it done.

So my frustration for everything earlier in the week has gone. Though Kanyes parcel hasn't arrived and the tracking number doesn't register here or in aus so I guess we'll just wait!
