Get my point? .. but what is it?

One of those days.. an issue has arisen about name badges. As a volunteer at the foodbank I have been asked to wear a name badge with both my christian name and surname printed on it. I am feeling uncomfortable about it and have questioned the requirement. Has anyone any thoughts on the issue.
